Expat coaching

Living Abroad Shouldn’t Cost You Your Identity—or Your Mental Health.

Living abroad can open up new possibilities, but it can also leave you feeling deeply unsettled. For many expats, moving abroad changes more than their surroundings. It can also reshape their identity, disrupt their inner stability, and challenge how they find meaning, belonging, and direction in a new environment.

When everything changes at once, maintaining clarity. The pressure to adapt, the distance from your former support system, and the constant effort of starting over can take a toll on your emotional adjustment,self-esteem, and connection with yourself.

This coaching process gives you space to pause, understand what this transition is bringing up for you, and rebuild with greater self-awareness. The goal is not to fit in at any cost, but to navigate the experience of living abroad without losing yourself along the way.

If this resonates with you, expat coaching can help you with...

  • Cultural adaptation: Overcome culture shock and learn to integrate without losing your identity.
  • Managing change and decision-making: Gain clarity in your personal and professional path.
  • Creating a new support network: Learn how to create meaningful connections and feel at home.
  • Emotional wellbeing: Cope with anxiety, loneliness, and homesickness.
  • Personal and professional changereinvention: Turn this experience into an opportunity to redefine your life.

Every expat journey is unique, and there is no single way to experience it. Together, we’ll work to help you feel in control, confident, and ready to embrace this new chapter.

Expat coaching workshop

Surviving culture shock can be less stressful than you think.

A workshop for expats looking for an easier path (with less drama and more laughs).

Migrating to another country is exciting… until you suddenly have no idea what the hell you’re doing with your life. Leaving your home country isn’t easy. It challenges your identity, your expectations, and the story you thought you were living. Have you heard of migratory grief? Well, it’s real, and navigating it alone isn’t always the best option. This coaching workshop for expats is designed to support you through your adaptation process—because no one should have to go through this mess alone.

What will we do here? During 6 weeks of group sessions on Zoom (because shared drama lasts less), we’ll learn real strategies to handle cultural clashes, that frustrating feeling of isolation, and strengthen your well-being in a safe space. Here, no one asks you to “adapt while crying in private.”

  • Small groups (5-10 people).
  • 90-minute coaching sessions designed to reflect, learn, and help you leave with more clarity, not more confusion than you already had.
  • Practical workbooks.

Is this workshop for you?

Do you feel like an alien in another country?
Being an expat or migrant isn’t just about changing countries. It’s about wrestling with incomprehensible recipes, strange schedules, managing relationships across distance, reinventing yourself professionally, and dealing with that uncomfortable "Where am I from, actually?". If you relate, this workshop is for you.

You're not alone, even if it feels like it.
In this workshop, we don’t offer magic formulas or Pinterest-style solutions. We give you real tools to deal with that feeling of being a lost character in your own soap opera.

If you are feeling lost during this transition or simply want to share your experience with people who understand, this program will help you find stability, connection, and wellbeing in your new life. 🌍✨

What do you get from this workshop?

  • Practical strategies to handle culture shock without losing your sanity.
  • Tips to reinvent yourself professionally and personally, without unnecessary drama.
  • A group of people who actually get it. Sometimes that’s all you need.
  • Tools to stop feeling like an alien in your new home.
  • Honest, unfiltered reflections on relationships with family and friends back home.
  • Techniques to manage nostalgia without turning into a soap-opera character.

This workshop includes...

  • 6 live group sessions (90 minutes each).
  • Workbooks with practical exercises you can actually use.
  • A safe, supportive space for reflection and growth with like-minded people.
  • Close guidance to help ensure real personal progress.
  • Space to share experiences with other expats, and yes, laugh a lot in the process.

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.”Mark Twain.

F.A.Q.

I am a shy person... is this workshop for me?

Of course. No one is going to force you to talk if you don't want to. Moreover, bullies and abusive behaviours are not accepted.

Unfortunately, the sessions are not recorded. The workshop is designed to create a safe space where you feel comfortable discussing all kinds of situations (good, bad, ridiculous…), and knowing that we are being recorded does not foster that trust. However, you will have access to all the documents and tools used during the session, and if needed, we can briefly go over what was covered.

Each workshop session lasts approximately 1.5 hours and is designed to keep you engaged—no boring monologues here!

We use group activities and visual elements where active participation is key.

This isn’t a self-help group where we just share our struggles and cry together (though that can happen too). The main goal is to find practical solutions to the challenges of expatriation.

This workshop is for both those on the verge of a nervous breakdown and those who just want to better understand the adaptation process with useful tools.

About me

I am an ICF-credentialed Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with a PhD in Social Anthropology. I support people living abroad who feel lost, stuck, or disconnected from themselves amid the many changes that come with international relocation.

My work draws on two complementary areas of expertise: my experience coaching people through major life and career transitions, and years of research on migration, identity, integration, and inequality. This means I won’t oversimplify what you’re experiencing or reduce it to a matter of “adjusting better” or “trying harder.” Living abroad can affect your self-esteem, sense of belonging, relationship with work, personal relationships, and even the way you see yourself.

I’m also a migrant myself. I know that moving to another country can broaden your horizons while leaving you deeply unsettled inside. I understand what it means to build a new life while part of you is still grappling with loss, uncertainty, mixed feelings, and exhaustion.

You won’t get rainbows-and-unicorns self-help clichés from me. In our sessions, we work together to understand what is happening, identify what you need now, and help you move forward with greater clarity, more structure, and a stronger connection to yourself.

I offer online coaching sessions in English and Spanish.
